About Joann

Long before obtaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design at Illinois State University, I have always adored art and specific parts of graphic design such as branding and marketing. I am someone who is constantly thinking and growing. To be inspired is to live. I enjoy every opportunity to first imagine and then execute creative based solutions that support important causes, issues, and people.
As a designer, I begin every project I take on by extensively researching a topic's 5W's (who, what, when, where, why) and related history. Afterwards I brainstorm the ways in which the conceptual side and the humane aspects (if desired) can be shown - this is the HOW. Guiding questions I regularly ask myself are: besides who is involved, who will be affected? As a methodical designer, participating in ethical, sustainable, and respective practices in respect to the project at hand is a given for me.
